BIBLE DISTRIBUTION

There are 3.8 million inhabitants in the nation of Panama, and although it is a largely Catholic nation, there are many without Bibles.  YWAM Chiriqui, along with other bases in the nation, have joined in with a global movement in YWAM to put a Bible in every home in the nation, starting in our province.  Aside from our staff, we also involve teams, volunteers, and even nearby friends who feel called to this ministry.  We have currently put a Bible in every home in our town of Potrerillos Arriba, and the nearby town of Rovira.

HOMES OF HOPE

BUILD A HOME FOR A FAMILY IN NEED
Homes of Hope, is an exciting new ministry we are launching to provide adequate housing for needy families. The vision is not only to build a home for a family in need, but to also lay a foundation in their lives for God to further build upon. By working with local churches in the Ngäbe indigenous communities, YWAM Chiriqui is able to ensure that the physical and spiritual needs of the people are met. The construction of these homes can be built in only 5 days, by using your short term outreach team.

SANTA ROSA

The Teribe/Naso people are that last known monarchy in our hemisphere. God has allowed us to put an outreach and training center in the Teribe community of Santa Rosa. Along with evangelism and discipleship, one of our primary focuses is to equip the women of the village with skills such as sewing and primary health care knowledge that will enable them to raise the standard of living of their families.

NURSING HOME

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress. James 1:27

Every Thursday morning we have the privilege to minister to Jesus as we minister and show His love to these beautiful seniors

LLANO TUGRI, COMARCA NGÄBE-BUGLE

One of our most exciting ministries is our YWAM Center and outreach in the Comarca Ngäbe-Bugle. Our indigenous leaders, Rafael and Bertilia, along with their team have planted 10 YWAM Community Centers in the last two years, and by God´s grace and through their efforts over 900 Ngäbes have made decisions for Christ.

ARTURO MIRO BOYS HOME

Near our YWAM Center is the Arturo Miro Boys Home. This is home for troubled boys ages 11-18. God has given us a great opportunity to partner with the home, where we run bible classes, teach drama, crafts and woodworking and work with the boys soccer team.  Many of the boys have given their lives to Christ and there is a continuous need for discipleship.

KIDS CLUB

We have a kids club every two weeks in a little town called Rovira.  This a tremendous opportunity to minister to and disciple the future generation of our area.   Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
